This is a Multi-Use Treadle Table. It is designed to accommodate a number of different machines. My Dad made this for my Davis NVF machine before I found an original cabinet for it. I currently have an extra Singer in it.
Yes, he even made a cover for it………..
love your MUTT! You’ve got a great dad!
Yes, I do!
I have a old white sewing cabinet. But it has wooden legs. I cant find another cabinet like mine. Dose that meet something?
I do not know. I know Singer made a treadle cabinet with wooden legs, but I have never seen one made by White. Could you email a picture to dcook@sc.rr.com?
I have a Queen Machine Like is listed at the top of this page. I also have a 1906 singer 27 that I have lost the needle for. Can you tell me what needles I need to by for these machines.
The Queen takes a #20 needle, which is a little longer than today’s needles. You can usually find them on eBay. The 27 takes a regular sewing machine needle you can buy anywhere. Sometimes you can take a modern needle and not put it all the way up into the needle slot, making it act like a longer needle……if that makes sense.
